About The Position

Safety Consultants partner with Beacon policyholders to reduce workplace hazards and promote best practices in injury prevention. This position provides professional advisory services across multiple industries; develops and delivers communication materials and presentations; and educates management and employees on effective workplace safety techniques. This opportunity is open to both junior and senior-level professionals with appropriate field experience. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (GED) required; additional education in safety, health, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of field safety experience across one or more industries.
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety and risk management principles, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience delivering adult education or safety training.
  • Ability to perform workplace safety assessments in varied work environments.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license with appropriate insurance, or approved alternative means for regular travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing safety consulting services within the construction industry.
  • OSHA 10 certification (Construction or General Industry).
  • OSHA Outreach Trainer certification (Construction or General Industry).
  • Professional safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other comparable nationally recognized safety or risk management certifications.
  • Certification to teach NSC Forklift Operator and/or Forklift Train‑the‑Trainer courses.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site loss prevention surveys to identify hazards, evaluate risk controls, and deliver site-specific safety recommendations.
  • Perform risk control assessments to evaluate operations and exposures and provide practical guidance to improve safety performance.
  • Partner with policyholders and agents to educate management and employees on workplace safety principles, regulatory requirements, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Develop and deliver clear, engaging safety communications, training materials, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Provide ongoing safety consulting support, including follow‑up visits and program refinement as needed.
  • Travel regularly within the MA territory to meet with policyholders, in accordance with company travel policies.
