About The Position
The construction safety coordinator will oversee safety for a Mechanical contractor on a new biopharmaceutical plant. 2nd in command to lead safety manager onsite. This person will assist with new-hire orientations, JHAs, and basic observe-and-reporting.
Requirements
- OSHA 500/510
- 1+ year of consturction safety
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
Nice To Haves
- OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
