DynaTen is seeking a Field Safety Administrator to join our team! This is a critical position that will be highly visible in our operation. You will help execute our organization’s strategic goals and manage key customer relationships. Additionally, this is a position that offers long-term career growth in service operations and beyond.

Requirements

  • Experience in safety in the construction, facilities, and/or industrial services industry is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 preferred, willingness to obtain OSHA 501 certification.
  • Basic understanding of construction industry standards.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, strong communication skills with the ability to influence behaviors.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Insight to gather and make sense of information, including the ability to identify relationships between unrelated data and combining information to form rules or conclusions.
  • Intuition and foresight to identify when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong (not necessarily solving the problem, but able to recognize a problem exists or could exist) and work with others to find the solution.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving and critical thinking skills to provide safety solutions.
  • Capable of maintaining a high energy level to handle a dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the safety director and field safety coordinators in the development of safety plans.
  • Help conduct inspections at assigned jobsite(s) including inspection of work areas and equipment; observing employee work practices and improving safety preparedness to ensure employees are equipped with the training, tools, and equipment necessary to work safely.
  • Assist with the coordination field employee substance abuse testing, medical treatment for injury response utilizing company medical treatment protocol.
  • Work with project supervision to Identify corrective actions necessary to bring job sites into compliance with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and standards, and explain these measures to others.
  • Assist the safety team and supervisors with the timely completion of required Accident Reports.
  • Review incident investigations to ensure causes and corrective actions have been addressed.
  • Assist with the creation of Root Cause Maps in response to workplace incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with federal safety regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of safety documentation including pre-task planning forms, Site Specific Safety Plans, jobsite safety inspections and various permits.
  • Help provide assistance with work activities that require permits, including Confined Space, Hot Work, etc.
  • Assist with safety training and support for assigned jobsite(s).
  • Assist with signing up employees for on-line safety classes such as OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 classes, as required.
  • Inspect the availability, readiness and proper use of required incident prevention procedures, safety and fire prevention equipment, protective clothing and devices, and first aid supplies.
  • Recommend and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective actions.
  • When assigned by safety director, attend and participate in safety meetings at jobsite(s), including periodic General Contractor safety walks.
  • Assist or conduct appropriate Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Promote Near Miss Reporting throughout all field and office locations.
  • Assist with the implementation of corrective actions and mitigation for near misses that require follow-up action.
  • Serve as a health and safety resource for OSHA compliance, company safety policies and procedures, and support the prevention of incidents.
  • Track weekly driving reports and Drivers Alert events and follow-up corrective actions.
  • Compile safety data and generate monthly safety reports.
  • Manage, scan and archive safety-related documentation.
  • Compile field safety audits completed in iAuditor, Procore or Vector.
  • Other duties as assigned by Safety Director.
