About The Position

In this role, the EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health & Safety
team to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment. The
role provides hands-on exposure to industrial safety practices, regulatory
compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-precision
ball-bearing production facility.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation and negotiation skills.
• Be customer service focused.
• General computer literacy, with a proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA rules and regulations.
• General knowledge of manufacturing safety process and practices.
• Working knowledge of industry standards including, but not limited to: lockout/tagout, HAZCOM, HAZWOPER, machine guarding, and personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, grab, twist, carry, push and pull.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, as necessary.
• Must be able to navigate all areas of the facility.
• Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hazard evaluations in the workplace.
• Maintain, develop and implement safety plans and programs.
• Work with the EH&S department to mitigate hazards.
• Help to provide employee training on various workplace safety issues.
• Help to investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and see how they may be prevented in the future.
