About The Position

Maintains safety protocols and serves as central liaison for patient and family members within the medical center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or successful completion of Project Search internship.
• Must be compassionate, energetic, proactive, dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitor and staff.
• Must have a high level of integrity, resourcefulness and problem solving ability.
• Must be able to consistently maintain confidentiality and service excellence.
• Basic computer skills, effective problem solving, exceptional customer service skills, ability to multitask and stay in motion for long periods of time which are essential.
• Knowledge of healthcare is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Screens and greets patients, visitors, vendors and staff at hospital entrances; delivering exceptional first and last impressions of the organization.
• Maintain customer focus, safety and service excellence standards at all times.
• Provides PPE, hand hygiene and/or other necessary items per protocol to patients, visitors, and staff as appropriate.
• Facilitates wayfinding and escort services to ensure patients are delivered to the correct location quickly and efficiently.
• Directs visitors and vendors to specific locations.
• Utilizes appropriate chain of command to report and resolve safety and process issues.
• Empowers self and other team members by modeling the way in doing what is best for staff, patients and their visitors and family members.
• Prioritizes patient safety and confidentiality.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces, equipment, and wheelchairs.
• Monitors cleanliness and restocks supplies as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
