About The Position

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Specialist to join a team. This is a remote position requiring 50-75% travel to client sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, a proactive approach to workplace safety, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders. This role involves conducting safety inspections, developing safety programs, and providing training to ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety. Compensation Package Base Salary : $110,000 to $120,000 annually (based on experience, certifications, and qualifications). Benefits : Competitive benefits package and variable pay programs.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 (all subparts) is required.
Self-motivated and proactive in identifying problems and developing effective solutions.
Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% within New York State.

Nice To Haves

Certifications in forklift safety training, aerial lift, and boom safety training are preferred.
OSHA-certified trainer and NYS CR-59 certification are highly desirable (or willingness to obtain certification during employment).

Responsibilities

Conduct safety inspections of worksites and facilities across Upstate New York.
Identify workplace hazards and provide recommendations for compliance.
Develop and implement safety programs and site-specific safety manuals.
Conduct safety training sessions, including forklift safety, aerial lift, and boom safety training.
Engage with general contractors to discuss and enforce safety protocols.
Interact with governmental agencies to address and mitigate safety concerns.
Collaborate with clients to promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to OSHA standards.
