About The Position

Buck Knives is seeking a highly organized and cross-functional Sales & Marketing Specialist to coordinate the planning, alignment, and execution of key go-to-market initiatives across Sales, Marketing, Product, and E-commerce. This role serves as a central coordinator for channel-facing initiatives including product launches, trade shows, sales enablement, and B2B platform development. The Sales & Marketing Specialist helps ensure projects remain aligned, on schedule, and strategically executed. This role acts as a connector between Marketing, Sales, Product, and E-commerce teams to help ensure Buck Knives presents a unified and disciplined approach to market execution. This position supports Buck Knives’ omni-channel success by helping bridge the gap between internal product development and external retail execution. The Sales & Marketing Specialist will help improve operational clarity, coordinate cross-team initiatives, and support successful product launches and market programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven success communicating with and supporting national and specialty retail accounts.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in asset management platforms (e.g., Bynder or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in a sales or marketing role at a consumer products company, preferably with a combination of consumer and dealer-facing communication. Experience managing, motivating, and engaging external sales teams, and educating them on available resources and need for application and adoption of said resources. Must have a passion for the outdoors, preferably in hunting and fishing. A polished, professional demeanor with the ability to communicate conviction and confidence in the direction of Buck products. Proven track record of getting projects done on time.
  • Associate's degree in management, marketing, communication, or a closely related business administration degree. Experience in an equal level of professional experience in lieu of education will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaboration across a cross-functional market-facing team composed of Sales, Marketing, Product, and E-commerce partners.
  • Establish meeting cadence, monthly check-ins, and standard operating procedures for the Market Facing Team.
  • Track project timelines and maintain visibility on cross-functional deliverables to ensure initiatives remain on schedule.
  • Drive alignment on launch timing, campaign priorities, and retail execution across departments.
  • Serve as the coordination hub across departments to support execution of go-to-market plans.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing initiatives across wholesale, retail, and distributor channels using available marketing resources.
  • Ensure responsible teams have clear scope, timelines, and expectations for deliverables tied to launches, promotions, and retail initiatives.
  • Support retail merchandising implementation by coordinating materials, timelines, and internal communication.
  • Execute periodic dealer communications including updates on product availability, promotions, and brand initiatives.
  • Help ensure projects move from planning to execution efficiently and on schedule.
  • Coordinate channel-facing product launches from concept handoff through market readiness.
  • Coordinate inputs from Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and E-commerce to ensure launch deliverables are completed on time.
  • Communicate New Product Introduction (NPI) status updates to the sales team to ensure alignment on launch timing, features, and availability.
  • Coordinate the preparation and timely delivery of sales samples to support customer presentations, line reviews, and product launches.
  • Ensure sales enablement tools, training materials, and launch communications are planned and delivered without serving as the primary content creator.
  • In conjunction with Marketing, maintain Buck’s B2B marketing asset portal, ensuring up-to-date product imagery, videos, and collateral.
  • Train internal sales teams and external partners on portal use and resource access to promote adoption of available resources.
  • Coordinate inputs across Sales, E-commerce, and Marketing to support development and improvement of Buck’s B2B dealer portal.
  • Support development and maintenance of sales-facing presentations, toolkits, and talking points to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Assist with sales rep engagement initiatives including internal communications, incentive programs, and feedback loops.
  • Support national, regional, and territory sales meetings in partnership with Sales leadership and Marketing.
  • Capture insights, questions, and objections from the field and communicate actionable feedback to Product and Marketing teams.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of Buck Knives’ presence at national trade shows, consumer expos, and dealer events.
  • Manage show logistics including booth coordination, vendor communication, travel planning, staffing assignments, and promotional materials.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to align messaging, product focus, and campaign tie-ins for each event.
  • Support on-site coordination for show setup, execution, and teardown as needed.
  • Track tradeshow budgets, assist with post-show recaps, and support lead follow-up processes.
