About The Position

This role leads the sales audit function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all sales transactions across retail stores and e-commerce platforms. This role is responsible for managing a team of audit professionals, optimizing reconciliation processes, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. The manager partners closely with IT, Finance, and Operations to resolve discrepancies, enhance reporting, and drive continuous improvement in sales audit operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in sales audit, financial operations, or related roles, with proven team leadership. (Required)
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. (Required)
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP and reconciliation systems (e.g., Oracle, ReconNET) and Excel. (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and retail operations. (Required)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. (Required)
  • Demonstrated success in process optimization and change management. (Required)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/CMA (Preferred)
  • Experience in high-volume, multi-location retail environments. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily auditing and reconciliation of sales, returns, discounts, and tax transactions across all retail and digital channels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales audit team to achieve high performance and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to prevent revenue leakage and mitigate fraud risk.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve sales audit issues, leveraging data analytics and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to resolve system discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Manage month-end close activities, including revenue postings, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, providing required documentation and responses.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive adoption of technology and automation to enhance audit efficiency and data integrity.
