Job Summary As a S ales Desk Manager for our Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) Channel, you will lead our team of Internal Client Advisors (ICAs) as well as the two other Desk Managers that work in the Channel. Our ICAs work directly with Financial Advisors to help them better understand the complexities of the markets and to provide customized financial solutions based on client need. J.P. Morgan ICAs help position a variety of investment solutions across different asset classes (equities, bonds, alternatives) and vehicles (mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs). The Sales Desk Manager we are hiring will not only be a strategic and dynamic thinker who has both the ability to execute the Channel strategy, but also possess a strong track record for teaching and leading teams. The role can be located in either Chicago or Columbus and this person will be responsible for ICAs in both locations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of sales or management experience in the financial industry
  • Deep understanding of and ability to teach capital markets
  • Proven ability to utilize consultative sales approach and to instill it in others
  • Track record of providing mentorship and development opportunities to others.
  • Series 24, 7 and 63 required
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of the IBD Channel to develop and execute strategic initiatives
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop and lead the Internal Client Advisor team in the IBD Channel
  • Help the ICA team deliver the full JP Morgan client experience by showing them how to partner with Private Alternatives, Defined Contribution Specialists, Models Specialists and Portfolio Insights Specialists and the entire roster of JPM partners.
