The Sales Director is a highly motivated and results-oriented leader who will be responsible for driving sales initiatives within the Company’s Testing segment across a wide variety of industry markets. As a key member of our sales function, the Director is responsible for managing and developing a high performing team, leading revenue generation and market expansion, and developing and nurturing client relationships. The Director will leverage market analytics to identify growth opportunities and make strategic decisions that drive revenue performance with full ownership of revenue growth targets. He/she will also apply strong business acumen to optimize financial planning and resource management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales and leadership background and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience directly in the testing, inspection, and certification sector is preferred.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in technical, industrial services, or related industry sales with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated people leadership, self-initiative, and resource utilization skills
  • Advanced skills in analyzing data, go-to-market research, and financial management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to build strong customer relationships as well as work effectively and collaborate internally
  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced and highly professional environment
  • Ability to navigate a broad range of team members within the sales, operations, and corporate services functions
  • Familiarity with and ability to navigate Microsoft Office applications, including expertise in Excel-based analysis of large data sets
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation & Market Expansion Develop and implement action plans to expand market share with full ownership for achieving ambitious revenue growth targets. This includes identifying target markets, defining a clear value proposition, and creating effective sales plans.
  • Sets priorities and conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for sales team members and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities, forecast sales, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the sales funnel.
  • Own the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing, and continually refine it to improve efficiency and effectiveness to achieve revenue growth targets
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, product development, sales operations/marketing/communications, and finance teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in due diligence and acquisition meetings to evaluate potential business opportunities and lead the integration of new businesses into the sales organization to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Leadership and Team Management Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team by setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback and mentorship.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, engagement, performance management and professional development, ensuring the team is equipped to meet and exceed targets.
  • Foster a positive and competitive team culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Business Development and Key Accounts Participate in high-stakes sales activities, including presentations and negotiations, to close strategic deals and support the sales team.
  • Nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling and renewal.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to adjust strategy and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Resource Management Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to drive revenue growth.
  • Implement and manage sales tools and technologies (like CRM systems) to enhance team productivity.
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
