About The Position

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Sales Director for a premier, nationwide provider of Payroll, HR, and Timekeeping solutions . This is a growth-focused leadership role based on-site in Williamsburg . Reporting directly to the CEO and Executive Team, you will lead a 50-year legacy firm into its next phase of expansion. This is not a "desk job"—we are looking for a high-energy Sales Director who leads from the front, joining the team in the field for cold calls and prospect meetings. You will be responsible for recruiting top-tier talent, instilling a data-driven culture of accountability, and refining the sales system to ensure consistent revenue growth in the competitive HRIS market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years of B2B sales experience is REQUIRED.
  • Team Management: Proven track record of managing and scaling B2B sales teams to hit aggressive quotas.
  • Process-Oriented: A data-driven leader who values a repeatable, scalable sales methodology.
  • CRM Mastery: Highly proficient in modern CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Pipedrive , or similar).
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers.
  • Proactivity: A self-starter with a "no excuses" approach to problem-solving and target attainment.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry Background: Previous experience in Payroll, HRIS, PEO, or HCM solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Closer Mindset: Demonstrated success in complex deal closing and high-level pipeline management.

Responsibilities

  • Team Architecture & Coaching: Recruit, onboard, and elevate sales talent; provide active "in-the-field" coaching by joining prospect meetings and modeling successful closing techniques.
  • Revenue Accountability: Own the sales quota, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Process Engineering: Maintain and refine a repeatable sales system, ensuring clear expectations and rigorous pipeline management.
  • Forecasting & Analytics: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and utilize CRM data to identify performance trends and untapped growth opportunities.
  • Leadership Cadence: Lead weekly team meetings to review KPIs, set strategic priorities, and proactively solve obstacles for the sales force.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Client Success to optimize lead conversion and ensure a seamless customer onboarding experience.
  • Culture Advocacy: Foster an environment characterized by collaboration, high-speed execution, and continuous professional improvement.
