About The Position

Bentley Laboratories is a premier beauty contract manufacturer based in Edison, NJ. Bentley’s core manufacturing capabilities include OTC’S; skincare emulsions; surfactant systems for haircare, bath & body products; hot fill processing for solid stick deodorants, lip balms, and other wax systems; and powders for dry shampoos and loose powder face applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive, working with a range of 8-10 customer brands on a strategic and tactical level to deliver sustained territory sales growth of over 10% each year. The position reports to the Director, Sales and will join a 4 person direct sales team that covers customers across the country. Our customer base is a collection of strong marketing and technology brands and we gain business through delivering new products and launches that meet market trends and deliver improvements to consumer skin health, while flawlessly managing current products in their portfolio. A candidate having educational and sales experience that brings a combination of technical, manufacturing and business acumen to the role is desired.

Requirements

  • BS/BA (technology area preferred i.e. engineering, chemistry, biology)

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, using proactive, consistent communication that inspires clients to make Bentley their partner of choice.
  • Leverage product knowledge and a strong understanding of consumer trends to help clients identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Guide brand partners in developing products that take full advantage of Bentley’s capabilities, ensuring their launches stay competitive and ahead of market trends.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to develop technical marketing and trend presentations for clients, attending tradeshows and customer/industry events. Create, manage, and convert customer product development projects and briefs for new launches which is a key element to fuel sales growth.
  • Actively work with customers and internal personnel in a professional and positive manner to resolve issues and advance the reputation of Bentley as a highly responsive, customer-focused, technology and service solution provider.
  • Work with the Sales Director and Business Development Manager to convert new prospective customer opportunities into tangible new projects and future sales.
