Position Summary: The SPS Commerce Sales team succeeds together by building strong partnerships that power the world’s largest retail network. Our Customer Development team plays a critical role in driving pipeline growth by identifying and connecting with companies that align to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). As a Customer Development Intern, you’ll collaborate with sales professionals, contribute to meaningful revenue-driving work, and be treated as a valued member of Team SPS from day one. What You’ll Do • You’ll support our sales organization by researching, prospecting, and maintaining accurate data that fuels revenue growth. • Research and identify target companies aligned with our Ideal Customer Profile • Gather and document accurate company information using CRM and prospecting tools • Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date records • Follow established prospecting processes with consistency and attention to detail • Partner with sales and customer development team members to support pipeline goals • Assist with additional sales-related projects as needed What You’ll Gain • Direct exposure to how a high-performing sales team builds and manages pipeline • Hands-on experience researching and qualifying companies within a defined Ideal Customer Profile • Practical understanding of CRM systems and structured prospecting workflows • Coaching and feedback from experienced sales professionals • Clear visibility into how your work contributes to revenue performance

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
  • Motivated, reliable, and comfortable working within structured processes
