As the Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for generating profitable growth and increased market share of large group cases within an assigned geographical region. You’ll need to comprehend the overall corporate sales strategy and effectively develop and implement a strategic business plan to meet these objectives. You will meet the regional sales goals and expectations for the territory by effectively communicating sales goals, managing a team of sales consultants in the field, and developing and maintaining strategic partnerships in their defined sales territory.

Requirements

  • Sales communication and relationship building skills required.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to problem solve, critical thinking and demonstrated ability to be well organized.
  • Experience working within a team.
  • Ability to positively lead a sales team comprised of staff with varied backgrounds is required.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, develop, and empower a high‑performing sales team
  • Execute a strategic business plan aligned with corporate objectives
  • Drive profitable growth across your assigned region
  • Build and strengthen key broker and distribution partnerships
  • Ensure timely, effective communication of sales goals and market insights
  • Collaborate across underwriting, compliance, policyholder services, and other internal partners
  • Provides leadership, hiring, training, and on-going development to the sales consultants
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with benefit sales support, underwriting, compliance, policyholder services, premium administration, commission accounting, home office personnel and field management
  • Coaches and mentors Hybrid’s in support of career progression, provides feedback on knowledge, skill, and leadership development opportunities, and suggests ongoing education opportunities
  • Has responsibility for generating profitable growth according to company standards
  • Support and develop external broker relationships across the sales territory
  • Oversees and manages the communication of sales data and other key information to ensure distribution leaders and producers are well educated, motivated, and supported in a timely manner
