About The Position

Become part of our powerful sales team in NAM. As the RFID Transponder Sales Manager for the Identification Technologies (IDT) Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, part of HID Global, you will be responsible for driving the revenue and market growth in the NAM region with a focus on growing the passive RFID business through the equipment consumable market and other industrial verticals. We are looking for a sales expert with in-depth knowledge in the RFID industry and a strong focus in the equipment consumable market. Must have an in-depth experience of sales both direct to OEMs and indirect through system integrators, distributors and reseller partners. In this role, you will work closely with the ISC Sales Leadership and the Sales Support Teams. Requirements

  • Ideally, you have technical training or previous education, but in any case, you have a high affinity for technical products
  • An understanding of RFID technologies with a focus on the RFID tags and labels would be helpful but not necessary.
  • You have several years of sales experience and are confident speaking to all level of customers (Engineering, Procurement and C-Suite)
  • Passionate about sales topics and about selling components
  • Cold calling and remote selling are no strangers to you and you deal confidently with resistance.
  • Strong experience in hunting, cold-calling, and closing new customers, including social media outreach
  • Effective and timely follow-up to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members
  • Develop presentations and write content as an industry subject matter expert
  • Present information to boards of directors, technical managers and/or public groups
  • Interact in a professional manner with the Sales team, Business Development Team, Product Marketing, and other departments within HID

Responsibilities

  • Acquiring new customers and developing existing customer base in the above-mentioned region, to the equipment consumable market and other industrial verticals.
  • Recognize and understand the customer requirements during the pre-sales process and educate customers on HID product offerings that solve their business challenges.
  • Driving the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact, to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions. Collaborating with product management and engineering specialists as required.
  • Working with sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns for your defined customer base to drive brand recognition and grow the business.
  • Attending and participating in tradeshows, exhibitions, as well as partner events
  • Hunting for new customers and growing revenue and nurturing relationships with existing customers.
  • Completing forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines
  • Building a project pipeline to secure the ISC long-term business growth
  • Acting as an industry expert in future market trends, and coordinating with product management on potential new products to meet these trends
