The Kansas City Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining their Sales Representative responsibilities, in addition to managing the schedule of the showroom, leading and assisting the team of sales representatives and designers, and collaborating with leadership to ensure customer and team satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Acts as Mentor and promotes mentoring through the assignment of more experienced staff members to assist with the development of newer sales and design staff.
  • Identifies and schedules training as needed to address performance needs and career objectives
  • Completes manager tasks for team members, including but not limited to interviewing and hiring, timecard and PTO request approvals, performance reviews, documentation and presenting write-ups, performance improvement plans, and terminations
  • Maintains current Commercial Sales and Dealer Accounts and contributes towards growth and profitability, following up on outstanding quotes, creating accurate designs and processing orders with minimal errors within an acceptable timeline.
  • Remain up-to-date with sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the Sales Team, which including making joint sales calls, conduct sales meetings, ensuring communication is passed up to Branch Manager and VP or Sales and down to Sales team.
  • Accountable for the showroom appearance and maintenance.
  • Lead and implement showroom initiatives and ensure displays and samples are updated.
  • Create and manage the Showroom schedule to ensure that front desk is appropriately staffed and walk-in clients are helped quickly and professionally.
  • Offer support to customers when questions or complaints arise. Work with Sales and Design teams and the Division Manager to evaluate issues and implement quick resolution.
  • Demonstrates and applies knowledge of company procedures and workflow including but not limited to; pricing programs/proposals, order process, job completion, service requests, customer inquiries and other internal systems. Knows who within the company is the appropriate contact to assist with problem resolution.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
