About The Position

Lead and optimize sales efforts across supplemental retirement insurance: life insurance, disability insurance, and long-term care insurance, and succession planning. This role is responsible for driving customer retention, managing insurance portfolios, ensuring product suitability, supporting insureds requests, and enhancing the sales pipeline. The Sales Operations Officer will also supervise a Business Development Coordinator, who will execute the day-to-day operational, sales, and portfolio management tasks under their guidance. Also, the individual will supervise an Operations Specialist who processes all the applications in the system. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of insurance solutions and a passion for developing talent and driving growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, insurance or a related field.
  • Insurance License- Life, Disability, Health, P&C Authorization.
  • Designation- Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional.
  • 3-5 years work experience in sales operations, finance, or accounting in insurance.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of supplemental retirement, succession planning, and business life insurance products.
  • Experience in managing insurance portfolios, conducting financial needs reviews, and client retention strategies.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior staff.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., AMS360, AgencyZoom) and sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to insurance suitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor the Business Development Coordinator, ensuring timely and accurate execution of operational tasks.
  • Provide training, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Oversee and optimize the sales pipeline across all insurance lines.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to streamline opportunity tracking and reporting.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client retention across all insurance products.
  • Conduct regular client portfolio reviews to ensure coverage remains aligned with evolving needs.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve service issues efficiently.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs assessments for new and existing clients.
  • Identify gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate insurance and retirement solutions.
  • Document findings and ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and manage client insurance portfolios to ensure comprehensive and appropriate coverage.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for portfolio adjustments based on life events, market changes, or client goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of policy changes, renewals, and client interactions.
  • Ensure annuity product recommendations meet regulatory suitability standards.
  • Assist clients with annuity withdrawal, surrender, or contribution processes, providing education on options and implications.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant financial and insurance regulations.
  • Support the sales and servicing of supplemental retirement insurance, succession planning insurance, and business life insurance.
  • Ensure product recommendations align with client financial goals, business continuity plans, and succession strategies.
  • Coordinate with underwriting and claims teams to facilitate smooth policy issuance and servicing.
  • Analyze customer data to identify opportunities for additional product offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and implement targeted cross-sell and up-sell campaigns.
  • Train sales teams in integrated product solutions and consultative selling techniques.
  • Frequently monitor several sales efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Monitor and timely process Do Not Call requests made by customers.
  • Implement innovative sales and marketing campaigns to expand our portfolio through acquisition, cross sale, and up sale initiatives.
  • Monitor the receipt and process of insurance applications and issued policies in the management system.
  • Reconcile all production received and distribute production reports timely.
  • Perform any other task assigned to achieve the company goals.
