About The Position

Sales Relief Sales Relief Representatives are responsible for covering sales routes of Sales Representatives that are out on vacation, leave, etc. Sales Relief Representatives are also responsible for assisting Sales Representatives in growing the company portfolio and engaging consumers through point of sale, shelf assortment, and creative displays at retail accounts. Primary Objectives: Sales Execution Provide coverage of Sales Routes for the purpose of order taking and execution in the absence of Sales Representative. (e.g. vacation, sick calls, etc.) Participate in Team Sell Programs to increase visibility and drive sales objectives for the assigned team and Clare Rose. Build and Properly Merchandise Clare Rose Portfolio Product Displays Product rotation & freshness of stock displays and shelf space Understand POS Standards and Execution Manage retailer product locations, maintain a clean and organized back room Identify placement opportunities Execute delivery functions when deemed necessary Portfolio / Brand and Product Knowledge Continually expand upon product knowledge of our portfolio Know competitions brands and how to sell against it Segment Knowledge Initiatives and Programming ie MIR/Cross Merch/POCM Pricing Knowledge Retail Execution i.e DisplaySigns/POCM Administrative Functions Communication and Customer Service Frequent communication with direct line manager and sales team Responsible for daily paperwork and proper completion of all company documents, i.e. close out all open delivery invoices when applicable Solid Understanding of Technology and Tools Attend Weekly Department Meetings Discuss issues/opportunities at store level Rollup competitive trade activity Attend all brewery training events scheduled Operational Functions Vehicle & Safety Requirements Follow Safety Policies and Procedures Follow all policies and procedures pertaining to proper usage of a company vehicle. Have knowledge of safe delivery practices Sales Relief Development A Sales Relief employee with proper development can expect opportunities to move into roles such as Sales Representative. Additional opportunities may exist in movement to the Operations Department. Product Knowledge – Knowledge of the entire Clare Rose Portfolio Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Continued education programs when necessary. Sales Certification Training Encompass Training $48,000 Sales Relief Requirements Broad knowledge and experience in sales and company objectives. Above average oral and written communications skills (Interacts well with Internal & External Customers) Effective Presentation Skills Above Average interpersonal and coaching skills. Excellent computer skills in all sales programs. Excellent organizational skills. Enthusiastic, Team player interested in positive company growth. Clean, Valid NYS Driver’s License Education and Experience An Associate’s degree or equivalent in General Studies, Business or Marketing is requested. A minimum of some college course work completed is required. A minimum of 1 year of sales or applicable experience.
