Tioga Pipe, Inc. is a privately held supplier of pipe, tubing, fittings, flanges, and related products in chrome-alloy steel, stainless steel, carbon steel and nickel alloy steels primarily servicing the global energy and power generation business. The Company has been in business for over 75 years and is one of the top material suppliers for: Global Power Generation Nuclear Power Oil Refining Gas and Chemical Processing U.S. Military Shipbuilding Tioga operates from three Regional Centers located in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Tennessee where the inventory is among the largest and most comprehensive in the United States. Position Summary Tioga is currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative to be located in our Houston office and reporting to the Regional Sales Director. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for providing outstanding customer support and generating sales revenue. This sales position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in launching a career in a highly respected sales organization while learning the essentials of the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Strong business acumen and Sales mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer relations
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications especially in Excel and Outlook
  • Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary customer interface from inquiry to final delivery
  • Build proposals and discuss details with customer, Sourcing materials to meet non-inventory customer needs.
  • Represent Tioga in interactions with customers, vendors, third party contractors and co-workers in the highest professional manner
  • Understand and communicate details concerning Tioga specifications
  • Manage orders from inquiry to delivery
  • Follow-up on customer inquiries and requests, maintaining CRM database
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Communicate customer needs within the Tioga organization, ensuring on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction
  • Research and develop sales opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  • Ability to follow -up with customers and close sales.
  • All other duties as assigned.
