About The Position

The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our sales team by providing administrative and operational support. This role enables Senior Sales Representatives to focus on generating revenue and meeting targets. This role ensures efficient order processing, customer follow-up, and overall account management support. The position also serves as a developmental role, with structured training and coaching to prepare the individual to gradually manage a portion of the existing book of business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with sales processes and CRM systems
  • Proficient in computer software systems including MS Office
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Provide phone and email support regarding customer order inquiries, pre and post-sales support, account management, and product-related questions.
  • Provide support to Senior Sales Reps by taking, inputting, and submitting orders.
  • Follow-up on submitted orders.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, accounting, warehouse, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation within CRM and internal systems.
  • Monitor open orders, backorders, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in managing account activity and customer touchpoints.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and product education.
  • Shadow Senior Sales Reps on account strategy and customer management.
  • Explore upsell opportunities and follow up with existing customers to encourage additional sales.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current, dormant, and prospective customers.
