About The Position

Silco Fire & Security is seeking an experienced, hands-on Salesforce Administrator/Configuration Engineer to build, maintain, and support Salesforce functionality in a mature Salesforce environment. This role focuses on executing detailed Salesforce configuration work while collaborating with teammates and business partners to support day-to-day platform needs. This position is part of a collaborative team environment. While the role requires the ability to independently complete the majority of configuration and support tasks, it also involves working alongside others, providing support, and contributing to shared platform ownership.

Requirements

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM‑201) – required
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator and/or Configuration Engineer
  • Strong, hands‑on experience with Salesforce Setup and declarative tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a Salesforce environment
  • High attention to detail and sound judgment when implementing changes
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Field Service
  • Experience supporting Service Cloud & Experience Cloud functionality
  • Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Field Service)
  • Experience working within established change and release management processes

Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Configuration & Automation
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce functionality, including:
  • Custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and related lists
  • Profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and access controls
  • Validation rules, approval processes, and declarative automation
  • Build, modify, and maintain Salesforce Flows to support business processes
  • Safely update existing configurations as requirements evolve
  • Platform Maintenance & Support
  • Independently manage declarative automation and resolve conflicts or unintended behavior
  • Troubleshoot configuration, automation, and data‑related issues
  • Maintain and clean up legacy configuration as needed
  • Support data imports, updates, and cleanup activities
  • Maintain data quality through validation rules and controlled processes
  • System Administration & Collaboration
  • Manage users, permissions, and license assignments
  • Resolve user‑reported issues related to configuration, access, and usability
  • Partner with team members to support users and resolve issues efficiently
  • Monitor system usage and identify opportunities for operational improvement
  • Maintain clear documentation of configurations and changes
  • Testing & Release Support
  • Perform unit testing of configuration and automation changes
  • Prepare changes for handoff to a dedicated QA team member for independent testing
  • Address defects or feedback identified during QA testing
  • Review Salesforce seasonal releases and apply approved updates
  • Support third‑party applications and Salesforce Field Service configuration where applicable
