Full-time & Part-time sandwich artist/cashier/CSR positions are now being filled at our IGC Cafe located in the Indiana Government Center. Shifts available Monday - Friday 6:30 am – 2:30 pm (shifts vary). Closed Weekends & Holidays! The sandwich artist is responsible for assembling sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls while following recipes and adhering to the standards. Orders are prepared in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. The sandwich maker maintains and stocks their station and follows all food safety requirements. As a cashier, you are responsible for processing cash, debit and credit card transactions on a point-of-sale system. Cashiers balance the cash drawer, make change and enter purchases. Customer service skills are required. Starting rate up to $16.00 an hour, PLUS tips! If you are looking for a fun, fast paced environment this is the opportunity for you!! Requirements
- Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards.
- Sets up station according to cafe guidelines.
- Processes sales transactions.
- Enters/Scans all items purchased by guest.
- Accepts payments and returns change when required by payment.
- Maintains adequate change in the cash drawer and requests additional change from management.
- Answers guest questions about products and services.
- Reconcile cash drawer.
- Reports issues with point-of-sale equipment/processes.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
- Work at efficient and consistent pace.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Has the ability to deal with changes.
- Willingness to assist in other tasks when asked.
- Prior experience with cash handling preferred but not required.
