Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends. Position Summary: This position is responsible for packing eggs, sanitizing egg flats/trays, racks, buggies, and all other hatchery equipment and rooms.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicants have been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday including holidays until job is complete.
Typically, these positions average 40 hours a week.
Beginning at 4:00 a.m. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.
The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. The Company provides appropriate clothing and footwear.
No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing.
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Must use safe lifting techniques.
Must be able to life/move 50 lbs. and must be able to push/pull 500-1000 lbs.
Overhead lifting is required.
Required to work on wet and slippery surfaces each day.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock out Tag out, and Personal Protective equipment.
Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Running egg pack machine to pack eggs, using a strapping machine to strap cases of eggs. (40%)
Clean and sanitize Egg Pack Room, Egg pack machine, as well as other hatchery equipment (egg flats/trays, farm racks & setter buggies) using a high pressure and regular water hose. (40%)
Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters. (5%)
Hand transfers: packing and/or unpacking eggs by hand. (10%)
Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintains foot pans and hand sanitizer, pack export eggs into cases, assist Egg Pack Lead as needed, assist Sanitation as needed, maintain a clean and organized work area. (5%)
