This position starts at $19.00 POSITION DESCRIPTION: The essential functions of a Sanitation Worker are to clean and sanitize food manufacturing equipment, facilities and utensils, by using chemical products. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facilities. Clean grounds, trash disposal, chemical dispensing, and clean around plant as necessary. Follow Tyson/USDA sanitation/safety specifications & requirements. Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Work in temperatures of extreme hot/cold, high humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces, some above ground level elevated surfaces. Handle chemicals as prepared by the Operational Specialist; identifies, reports, communicates areas, equipment and other related items requiring non-routine attention. Fill all dispensers, foamers, and hairnets. Have sufficient mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers & fractions. REQUIREMENTS: Must be able and willing to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have sufficient knowledge of standard weights & measures to utilize appropriate equipment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must have sufficient physical abilities to access equipment, work on slippery, uneven surfaces, reach, grasp, grip, push, pull, lift, bend, stand, stoop, work at heights of up to approximately 30 feet. Must possess adequate near, far, and color vision as well as depth perception. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
