About The Position

This position is available on 8 hour day shift working Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Pay: Compensation: The pay for this position is pre-determined at $24.16 per hour. Compensation for this role has been determined based on required experience, education, certification, and training. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance. This position is responsible for Plant sanitation by thoroughly and effectively cleaning and caring for all assigned areas of the plant and equipment, including production and office areas. Requirements

  • Stand and walk on a hard surface floor for full work shift
  • Move and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Work in high places and confined spaces, and frequently climb, bend, and maneuver in restricted or tight areas
  • Have a customer service and quality focus with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a high level of reliability and attendance to support a 24/7 environment
  • Follow safety, GMP and other company and regulatory requirements
  • Accurately read and interpret chemical labels, instructions and SDS sheets in English
  • Must be available to work any shift as needed
  • Work overtime and alternative work schedules as needed
  • Progressive skill levels require the willingness and ability to attain Genie boom, scissor lift, and floor scrubber certification
  • Note that food safety requirements prohibit wearing jewelry, fragrance and other cosmetics
  • Attendance To support ongoing business goals and successfully contribute to your team, acceptable levels of performance and attendance must be consistently maintained.
  • Quality Employee must follow procedures to ensure all food quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Safety/Legal Employees are required to conduct their work in a safe and legal manner, according to all GMP food safety standards as well as following any safety protocols. Employees must be willing to be responsible for their safety and health as well as the safety and health of all employees, vendors and visitors.
  • Employee must follow procedures to ensure all food quality standards are met or exceeded.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sanitation or production experience desirable
  • Prefer experience with air pressure hoses and vacuum cleaning systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned sanitation schedule
  • Perform detailed deep cleaning, including cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms and production areas
  • Clean and operate sanitation related equipment according to written procedures, including steam cleaner, floor scrubber, and floor buffer
  • Ensure all sanitation supplies and equipment are maintained and safely operated
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor and team members to identify and solve problems
  • Work efficiently and productively without direct supervision
  • Patch and paint walls, pipes, floors and equipment as necessary
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities
  • Partner with Production to coordinate sanitation activities with scheduled production
  • Help create Sanitation SOPs
  • Follow GMPs at all times
