About The Position

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across the facility, including production and warehouse areas. This role ensures all cleaning and sanitation processes meet strict food safety standards and company requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or sanitation environment preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and expectations
• Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or sanitation environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, conveyors, tools, and facility areas in accordance with SSOPs and GMP standards
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment as required
• Properly use and handle cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines
• Operate sanitation equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE, LOTO, and chemical handling procedures
• Report any food safety, quality, or equipment concerns to management promptly
• Maintain sanitation supply inventory and ensure proper labeling of chemicals
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report maintenance needs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow all company procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
