About The Position

Cleans and sanitizes equipment and facilities using established procedures and cleaning processes. Performs sanitary cleaning in sanitation room and production rooms. Collects, removes, and properly disposes of waste. Performs cleaning and sanitation tasks and duties as specified by the master cleaning schedule. Assists with start-up, operation, changeovers, and shutdown of machinery and production line equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Effective communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand written and oral instruction
• Able to effectively work in a team environment
• Must be performance and quality driven.
• Able to perform physical tasks that include lifting 55 pounds, pushing and pulling objects repetitively

Nice To Haves

• Prefer work experience cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities in a food manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Works in a safe manner. Complies with safe work practices at all times. Reports unsafe conditions or situation to supervisor or management.
• Complies with and executes Good Manufacturing Practices. Recognizes non-compliance and takes action to correct or report observed violations of GMPs.
• Cleans and Sanitizes equipment and facilities. Scrapes, sweeps, mops and sanitizes floor surfaces, walls, equipment supports, and bases. Cleans exterior surfaces of equipment, tables, and fixtures. Disassembles, cleans sanitizes and re-assembles specified machine parts and equipment, following defined protocols. Cleans and sanitizes other equipment, fixtures and facilities as directed by the master cleaning schedule and/or supervisor. Performs sanitary cleaning in sanitation room and production rooms, cleans and sanitizes equipment parts, utensils and tools using defines process and chemicals. Operates automatic floor scrubber to safely clean floors throughout the facility. Performs drain cleaning as scheduled. Cleans exterior of facility.
• Collects, Removes and Properly Disposes of Waste. Sweeps and picks up trash and other waste material throughout the facility. Collects waste and trash in designated containers and disposes of properly.
• Actively engages in production and team meetings, and provides timely feedback to team regarding work topics. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across work team. Understands available resources, and utilizes those resources when appropriate. Assists with start-up, operation, changeovers, and shutdown of machinery and production line equipment.
