About The Position

Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the East Coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrée’s and more. Don's is a family-owned business and manufactures over 130 products spanning across its three brands Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli. We are seeking a Sanitation Worker to join the Sanitation department at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that starts at 6:30AM from Monday-Friday with flexible end times according to production needs. Candidates who are dedicated, consistent, and organized with a background in cleaning in a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply. Job responsibility: Sanitation Workers clean and sanitize all food production areas and the equipment used in the production of food. Maintain a clean plant in all areas, including non-production areas as well. Responsible for ensuring proper cleaning of equipment to avoid cross contamination Responsible for waste removal from production areas. Responsible for documentation of cleaning throughout the plant. Monday - Friday with a shift start time at 6:30 am. Flexibility with hours and start/end times a must.

Requirements

Ability to follow established procedures.
Ability to disassemble machines to clean and re-assemble them for production.
Must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
Employee stands for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in cold and warm environments.
Must pass an extensive pre-employment criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test.
