Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline
  • 8+ years of job-related experience (or 6+ years with a Master’s degree)

Nice To Haves

  • Space/Ground system architecture with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise
  • Experience with MagicDraw for MBSE modeling
  • Requirements analysis and decomposition into physical, functional, and logical architectures
  • Architecture decomposition, interface definition, and system thread design
  • Technical Performance Measures (TPMs): development, analysis, and trade studies for mission effectiveness
  • Probabilistic system analysis and workbook development related to space/ground systems
  • ConOps development and system design change management
  • Cross-company design collaboration and multi-customer solution development
  • Documentation creation to support Agile systems development
  • Interface Control Document (ICD) development and coordination for space missions
  • Driving interface definition based on TPMs and mission needs
  • Enterprise interface protocols, including:
  • gRPC
  • Kafka
  • REST
  • SNMP
  • CCSDS
  • Space mission architecture: sensing, communication, mission data processing, and payload integration
  • Experience with space constellation systems and operations
  • Constellation design and operational workflows
  • Spacecraft anomaly support and trending analysis methods/tools
  • Knowledge of constellation situational awareness and system monitoring
  • Flight dynamics management (especially for large constellations)
  • Experience with:
  • Collision avoidance
  • Station keeping
  • Orbit insertion and de-orbit
  • LEOPs support
  • Orbit determination
  • Space-to-ground contact planning
  • Knowledge of automated flight dynamics workflows
  • Familiarity with Freeflyer and/or Meridian A.I. tools
  • Experience with OpenC3
  • Space ground antenna systems and RF/optical communications
  • Familiarity with commercial cloud architectures
  • Experience with IP networking and enterprise-level system integration
  • MDA program experience preferred
  • Agile development experience preferred
