About The Position

Motor City Wash Works is looking for energetic and motivated candidates to staff its Saw Department in our manufacturing facility. As a member of the team some Saw Department essential duties and functions are as follows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills. Count materials used and parts made. Knowledge of measuring fractions and decimals
• Ability to use measuring equipment.
• Ability to work on your feet all day, moving continuously and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Load and operate saw while standing for up to 10 hours a day

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience a plus, willingness to train to gain a forklift operators certificate
• Overtime and weekend work are sometimes required

Responsibilities

• Operate vertical miter cold metal saw.
• Load and unload sawhorses by hand or with forklift
• Load, operate and unload saw. Must be able to lift 50lb. regularly
• Use basic measuring devices. Tape measure, back stop, manual adjustable length stops.
• Load cut pieces on carts and push to CNC mill operators
• Fill out basic work order and inventory tracking forms
• Will learn programmable auto feeder/stop
