About The Position

The Sawmill Clean-Up position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the sawmill facility. This role supports production operations by removing debris, handling scrap materials, and assisting operators and maintenance personnel as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with dust, noise, and outdoor conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow safety instructions and company procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a sawmill, lumber yard, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of sawmill work areas, including walkways, equipment areas, and production floors.
• Remove wood debris, sawdust, bark, and scrap materials from production areas.
• Assist with proper disposal or recycling of waste materials.
• Use tools such as shovels, brooms, air hoses, and other cleaning equipment.
• Help keep conveyors, machinery areas, and workstations free of buildup.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or hazards to supervisors.
• Assist production or maintenance teams with basic tasks when needed.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.
