At KLC, we’re looking for a Sawmill Supervisor to lead daily operations, drive production performance, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Your mission:

In this role, you’ll lead safe, efficient, and high-quality operations within the sawmill, ensure production and performance targets are met or exceeded. You will oversee daily activities, optimize operational processes, and drive continuous improvement while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Experience in sawmill, lumber, or industrial production environments.
• Strong knowledge of sawmill operations, processes, and equipment.
• Solid background in workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
• Organizational and scheduling skills with adaptability to changing needs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and production reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead sawmill operations to achieve safety, quality, and production targets.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules
• Monitor yields, enforce quality standards, and conduct grade checks.
• Foster employee development through training, coaching, and cross-training.
• Collaborate with maintenance and other departments to minimize downtime.
• Report on production metrics and operational performance.
