About The Position

The SBA Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the ongoing management of the existing SBA 7(a), and other government-guaranteed loan products. Specifically, includes activities to ensure compliance with SBA - SOP guidelines, LMCU loan policy, and applicable regulations. Contributes to the assessment, structuring, servicing of existing loans. Position is a key contributor to bolstering the safety and soundness of the SBA loan portfolio.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of similar or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance or a related field of study.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares annual loan reviews for the existing SBA 7(a), and other government guaranteed loan portfolio in compliance with the LMCU loan policy.
  • Prepare the required quarterly Special Asset Reports for submission to SBA Special Asset Officer.
  • Monitors and manages the assigned SBA 7(a), and government-guaranteed loan portfolio for compliance with current SBA standard operating procedures to mitigate guaranty repair and denial risk.

  • Collects, reviews and analyzes financial statement updates to identify risks related to business members' operations.
  • Understands, detects, and reports through appropriate channels early warning and when necessary, initiates special asset reporting inclusive of action plans and impairment analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with SBA underwriters, loan officers and legal counsel.
  • Work collaboratively with SBA underwriters, loan officers and legal counsel.
  • Underwrite and manage process related to loan maturities, modifications/servicing actions with the assigned SBA lender.
