About The Position

Felix Construction Company, a top self-performing water/wastewater contractor in the Valley, is seeking an experienced Scaffold Builder. This role is responsible for safely constructing, dismantling, inspecting, and maintaining scaffolding used on industrial job sites. This role ensures all scaffold structures meet OSHA requirements and company safety standards while supporting project timelines and trade personnel.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of scaffold building experience (or completion of a certified training program)
  • Ability to work at heights of up to or above 30ft, in varying weather conditions, and in physically demanding environments
  • Proficiency with hand tools, levels, plumb lines, and measuring devices
  • Strong understanding of load limits and structural safety
  • Industrial construction experience (refineries, plants, mills)
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Build, erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding systems including tube and clamp, frame, system scaffolds, and suspended platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, material lists, and site instructions.
  • Inspect scaffolds for structural stability, proper bracing, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Load and unload scaffold materials and ensure proper site organization.
  • Secure scaffolding to structures using braces, ties, and fasteners as required.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate access needs.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard‑free worksite.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and site‑specific safety procedures.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or equipment issues immediately.
  • Assist with training helpers or apprentices as needed.
