About The Position

The scale house operator communicates with drivers as they enter the mill. They properly weigh in and complete delivery paperwork. Scale house operators facilitate the movement of the trucks and products to the correct location and assist the team with sanitation schedules.

High school diploma or equivalent
Good communication skills with a teamwork attitude are essential.
Self-motivation with a drive to follow policy and procedures is required.
Computer skills, Word, Excel and site-specific software required.
Mathematical ability is required.
Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 150ft by ladder.
Clothing must be worn based on seasonal weather conditions.
All personal protective equipment will be provided and required during certain working conditions and in certain areas.

Nice To Haves

Agricultural experience is preferred.
Prior experience in a feed mill is preferred.
Training in preventative maintenance programs, mechanical and electrical systems is desirable.
Knowledge of production agriculture is desirable.
