About The Position

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector in our Charleston, SC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Positions offer the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate.

Requirements

SCDOT Level 1 and 2 Concrete Field Technician
OR
SCDOT Asphalt I & II and/or SCDOT Earthworks I & II with the ability to get Concrete I & II
SCDOT Foundations preferred or ability to obtain quickly
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on pile driving and bridge/roadway projects
Strong knowledge of SCDOT construction standards and procedures

Nice To Haves

SCDOT Foundations preferred or ability to obtain quickly

Responsibilities

Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections, as applicable.
Coordinate with contractors, and NOVA staff regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports
