About The Position

Scenario Design Lead The Opportunity: An effective training event requires a manager who is passionate about guiding it through the complexities of its lifecycle. It requires someone who is dedicated to identifying challenges, mitigating risks, and supporting a team with vision and focus. That’s why we need you, a seasoned leader who can ensure our program achieves success. As the Scenario Design Enterprise Lead on our team, you’ll lead and advise the client in the planning, development, and execution of all fictional aspects of exercises throughout the operations process. Your team will work with the client to plan and prepare up to five major training events annually. You will design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding your team. The client will trust you to organize and coordinate program objectives, while your team will look to you for direction as they navigate requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges. As an authority in the planning and execution of large-scale training events, you’ll identify opportunities to grow the business by supporting your client’s mission. You’ll also broaden your expertise in problem management, strategic planning, reviewing contracts, and more. This is your chance to impact the combat readiness of the U.S. Army while sharing your knowledge and expertise of program management methodologies. What You'll Work On: Oversee the client to prepare doctrinally correct Higher Headquarters OPORDS, including all annexes and targeting information, and develop new operational environments when directed, including country studies, maps, orders of battle, and simulation databases. Be responsible for planning and executing up to five constructive command post warfighter exercises annually. Provide direction on activities and behaviors to increase morale, in accordance with organization goals. Motivate team members and facilitate team meetings. Cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors. Identify and analyze problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provide guidance to the team on development, performance, and productivity issues. Represent the team, presenting team suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures in accordance with organization cost, quality, and productivity goals. Report to organization management on team accomplishments, achievements, and productivity. Requirements

  • Experience as a former field grade officer
  • Experience serving in a key developmental position at the brigade or battalion level
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint regulations and doctrine
  • Ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS up to 30% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in the military or supporting the DoD, or Master's degree and 8+ years of experience in the military or supporting the DoD
  • Graduate of an Intermediate Level Education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving as a military officer such as a colonel or above
  • Experience serving in a division or corps-level staff position
  • Experience with Constructive Simulation Models such as the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) or Warfighters Simulation (WARSIM)
  • Experience working with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP)
  • Master's degree
  • Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS)
