Purpose: The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling of all surgeries with a high level of proficiency. This position will report directly to the Practice Manager and will receive supervision from the lead Scheduler.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare or medical office experience preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR and scheduling systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in dermatology, med spa, or aesthetic practice strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with patients regarding questions for scheduling surgery and appointments, pre- and post- surgery
  • Providing pertinent information to patients regarding surgery
  • Documenting critical information into the EMR system
  • Responding to physicians and patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Coordinating with referring physicians, physicians, and clinical staff
  • Understanding and communicating insurance process and possibly educating patients with respect to finance options
  • Providing back up to the front office staff as necessary, including patient check in and incoming phone calls
