About The Position

Rycon Construction is an employee-owned company (ESOP) that provides construction management, general contracting, and design-build services nationwide. We have an in-house Architectural Woodwork & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally. We are seeking scheduling engineer for our Fort Myers office . What you will do: Prepare plans and schedules for all phases of project development. Assess and review development plans and construction schedules. Assist the project team with schedule development, invoice verification against the schedule, actual against progress status and recommend corrective actions to meet the project/construction schedule. Create master schedules for all projects and provide updates as required. Capable of creating required reports within the chosen software Develop and integrate purchasing and procurement into schedule. Thorough knowledge of claim discovery and analysis. Take the lead with designated operations personnel and develop schedules for proposals and deliverable's. Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages Review project completion schedules and dates including durations for the engineering, material procurement and mechanical completion as well as on-stream dates. Identify potential impact at the project and program levels. Provide support to the project team in the reviews of Request for Change Orders (RFCOs) for schedule impact. Provide support to the project team for delay analysis for project delay notices and claims. Participate in the analysis of all projects to plan the most effective execution sequence in light of experience and current industry practices. Discuss, coordinate and resolve long term and short-term planning and scheduling problems with team members. What you will need to be successful: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience estimating in planning and scheduling projects including at least three (3) years related to construction work in commercial, light industrial, institutional, residential development and/or multi-family residential projects. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management from a recognized and approved program; an advanced degree is acceptable. Working knowledge in Critical Path methods using P6 Primavera and Microsoft Project. Experience in planning and scheduling capital projects in value between $1MM to $150MM. Related experience as part of a construction/project management or architect/engineering office is necessary. Requirements
