About The Position

Ready for a new career move to make a difference? Cross Country Education has a unique, part-time opportunity for a highly skilled Virtual DIS Counselor (LMFT, LCSW, LEP, or PPS) to manage a focused school-based caseload starting this February. Help to bridge the gap for students needing support, consistency, and connection—ensuring that students transitioning into new services or facing a change in providers feel supported every step of the way. Provide a seamless continuity of care for our students and play a vital role in their end-of-year success. Position Overview: Deliver approximately 12 hours of monthly virtual counseling, divided between ERSES Counseling (9 hours) and Social Work/Mental Health services (3 hours) for a dedicated caseload of 10+ students. Facilitate a seamless transition for students during a staff maternity leave, including onboarding new students to ERSES services to ensure stability and goal progression. Maintain accurate logs and progress monitoring for both Counseling and Social Work mandates in accordance with IEP requirements and school district standards.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Valid California Licensure/Credential as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed Educational Psychologist Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology or School Social Work
  • Prior experience providing DIS/ERSES counseling within a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEP goals and virtual service delivery platforms
