Requirements
- Active New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an LPN (school-based experience preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to respond effectively and calmly in emergency situations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, staff, and administration

- Ability to pass required background checks and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential student health records, including immunizations, physicals, screenings, and care plans
- Administer medications in accordance with state law, school policy, and standing medical orders
- Provide first aid and respond to medical emergencies, acute illness, injury, and emotional crises during school hours
- Develop and implement individualized student care plans based on assessment and ongoing evaluation
- Monitor immunization compliance and manage communicable disease reporting and prevention protocols
- Serve as the primary medical consultant to school staff, including teachers, counselors, food service, and physical education teams
- Support School Support Team (SST) and Child Study Team (CST) meetings with health-related insights and recommendations
- Coordinate health services for field trips, review trip rosters, and attend trips requiring nurse coverage (including occasional after-hours events)
- Maintain inventory and order medical supplies and equipment for the nurse’s office and first aid stations
- Collaborate with families to connect them to community health resources and support services
- Travel between campuses as needed to provide coverage and ensure continuity of care
