About The Position

Hours/Time/Calendar/Pay: MEA Master Agreement Calendar Effective: March 2, 2026 Qualifications: Master of Social Work Degree MDE school certification and/or eligibility for school certification CPI certification or ability to obtain certification without restrictions Must have knowledge of the IEP process and familiarity with Michigan rules and regulations for Special Education Excellent interpersonal skills Must have the ability to write clear, concise reports based on observation Knowledge of Special Education Certifications Ability to develop and implement measurable IEP goals and objectives Regular and consistent attendance Job Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative services to General and Special Education students Establish and maintain appropriate records and reports Adhere to district policies and confidentiality Assist and develop positive behavioral intervention strategies Serve as an active member of district and school crisis teams Collaborate with parents, staff, school administrators and community agencies Provide consultation, collaboration and advisement services to students, their family members and school staff regarding the students’ social, emotional and behavioral status Other duties as assigned The Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, (including sexual orientation and transgender identity), disability, age, religion, height, weight, marital or family status, military status, ancestry, genetic information or any other legally protected category, (collectively, “Protected Classes”), in its programs and activities, including employment opportunities. Requirements

  • Master of Social Work Degree
  • MDE school certification and/or eligibility for school certification
  • CPI certification or ability to obtain certification without restrictions
