About The Position

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role within a lean and growing U.S. organization where team members take ownership and contribute across multiple areas. As a Scientific Laboratory Equipment Specialist, you will work directly with customers to understand their testing requirements and recommend suitable laboratory systems and configurations. You will support customers in using, troubleshooting, and understanding specialized equipment used in aerosol science, particle measurement (including particle sizing), airflow and filtration testing, and filter efficiency evaluation. This role focuses on physical laboratory equipment and measurement systems (including airflow control, sensors, particle measurement, and pressure/efficiency testing). Typical systems involve test setups, instrumentation, and measurement systems used in laboratory and industrial environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams in Germany and support coordination from initial customer inquiry through system delivery and ongoing use. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on work with equipment and direct interaction with customers in a technical environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in equipment support, laboratory environments, instrumentation, validation or test engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Ability to understand technical documentation, test setups, and measurement processes
  • Hands-on mindset with interest in working with physical systems, sensors, and laboratory equipment
  • Structured and self-organized working style suited for a small team environment
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation
  • Proficiency with standard office and CRM systems

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful:
  • Laboratory instrumentation or scientific equipment
  • Filtration technology, HVAC testing, or cleanroom environments

Responsibilities

  • Review customer requirements and recommend appropriate laboratory testing systems
  • Support system configuration and technical discussions related to equipment, instrumentation, and measurement processes
  • Assist customers in understanding system capabilities and interpreting measurement data (e.g., airflow behavior, particle distribution, pressure drop, and filter efficiency)
  • Support test setups, basic calibration activities, and measurement validation tasks
  • Troubleshoot equipment-related issues and coordinate more complex topics with engineering teams in Germany
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers across technical and general inquiries
  • Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Support quotation preparation and customer communication
  • Participate in industry conferences and technical trade shows
  • Contribute to customer engagement and market development activities
  • Support order workflow from inquiry through delivery
  • Coordinate internally to ensure timely processing and quality standards
  • Maintain CRM documentation and internal reporting
  • Assist with general coordination tasks in a small team environment
