We develop and implement biomarker strategies to study disease pathways, confirm a therapeutic's mechanism of action, and improve clinical trial efficiency and success. Additionally, we lead reverse translation efforts, leveraging clinical data to support target discovery. The Position We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Scientist 3/4 to join Genentech’s Translational Medicine (TM) team on-site at our South San Francisco campus. The candidate will collaborate with scientists across R&D to provide biomarker support for ophthalmology programs across different stages of drug development while also generating insights for the next generation of ophthalmology drug targets. The role will cover: 1) Analysis and interpretation of large-scale -omics datasets from clinical and preclinical studies to enable biomarker discovery and reverse translation; 2) Assay development to support biomarker assessment in clinical and preclinical studies.
