About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated biochemist to join our Protein Science group. The individual will be a key member of the protein production and analytics team tasked with design, production and functional characterization efforts for our therapeutic programs. This role requires strong technical expertise, scientific independence, and the ability to translate complex data into clear conclusions that guide therapeutic lead selection and optimization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cross-functional team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge biotherapeutics in a fast-paced, rapidly growing biotech company with a bold vision.

Requirements

  • Degree required: BS or MS in protein science, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or other related disciplines
  • Lab experience required: BS with 6+ or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in biotech and biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in common antibody expression platforms and purification methods. Proficiency with AKTA and the ability to develop multistep chromatography-based purification methods are required.
  • Knowledge in methods for characterizing protein-protein interactions using SPR, BLI and ELISA to assess binding affinity, kinetics, and potency.
  • Familiar with various protein analytics platforms such as HPLC, UPLC, DLS/SLS, and related biophysical methods for protein purity and stability assessment.
  • Solid understanding of antibody structure, function, and biologics drug discovery and development workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal supervision. Attention to details, outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and data interpretation skills.
  • Highly adaptable to a fast-paced work environment and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross-function teams, drive the design, expression and purification of innovative multispecific antibodies and other therapeutic molecules.
  • Lead the in vitro functional screening and analytical characterization of multispecific antibodies and therapeutic proteins to support therapeutic lead identification and optimization.
  • Develop and optimize high throughput protein production and characterization methods and contribute to our antibody developability screening platforms for the generation of robust, decision-enabling data.
  • Drive experimental strategy, execution, troubleshooting, data analysis, and communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure effective, high-quality and timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks.
