About The Position

The Scrap Crane Operator will operate the electric traveling overhead crane and any other equipment needed to process scrap in the baling press. (Track loader, wheeled loader)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
• Must be able to operate mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts and cranes
• Ability to organize material on machines as scheduled
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed
• Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed
• Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from supervisor
• Performs Crane Daily Checklist
• Must pick up proper amount of scrap copper to place in baler
• Must communicate with Metal Handlers on briquette size and what they are running (#1 or RAR)
• Operate lift truck, wheeled loader, Track Loader, and Bobcat
• Keep tools clean and equipment clean, properly stored and in good working order
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area
