About The Position

Potters Industries is a leader in manufacturing high-performance glass beads and engineered materials. We are seeking a Blending Technician to join our team in Wilson, NC. This role involves handling and mixing chemical compounds to support production processes while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Shift Availability Rotating Day & Night Shifts – 12 Hours (Includes weekends and holidays as part of the rotation) Compensation and Benefits Pay: $24.55/hour Weekly pay Full-time, permanent position with ample growth and development opportunities Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and paid time off

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 to 5 years of Manufacturing Environment Experience preferred
  • Familiarity with blending or mixing equipment.
  • Knowledge of chemical properties and handling procedures preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk, stand, bend, twist, push, and squat throughout the workday (High Elevations, Physically Demanding)
  • Must be able to hear and respond to machinery alarms and sounds

Nice To Haves

  • Post High School Technical School or College a Plus
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, blending, or chemical mixing environment highly valued.
  • 3 to 5 years forklift operations and/or certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate chemical mixing equipment and follow precise formulation guidelines.
  • Measure and load raw chemical materials according to batch tickets.
  • Monitor mixing processes to ensure consistency and product quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following hazardous material handling protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on mixing equipment.
  • Record production data and maintain documentation of batch formulations.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to address any mixing inconsistencies.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and adjust mixing processes as needed.
