As the owner of the Seafood department's success, the Seafood Manager plays a key role in fostering a service-oriented culture that enhances the customer experience. Their responsibilities include overseeing department operations, achieving financial goals for Service & Sashimi, and collaborating with the Assistant Store Director (Merchandising) to create a weekly merchandising plan. They are accountable for ensuring excellent food and staff safety standards, ensuring compliance with Health Department, Governing agencies, and Company guidelines, and meeting Company-wide department Ready for Business (RFB) standards. The Seafood Manager is responsible for the training and development of staff, covering everything from customer service to management functions and encouraging an environment of successorship. The Seafood Manager cultivates a positive team culture, fosters good vendor relationships, and collaborates with the Merchandising team to introduce innovative food ideas to enhance the Uwajimaya Experience. Exemplifying excellent customer service, the Seafood Manager upholds company policies, guidelines, and procedures. The Seafood Manager reports to the Store Director (SD) and Assistant Store Director (ASD), working closely with the Corporate Support staff.
