About The Position

Purpose: Reporting to the Special Events Supervisor, the Seasonal Day Camp Aide supports the daily operations of DCL Day Camp events by coordinating with instructors, vendors, parents, and children. This role helps facilitate safe, engaging, and educational camp experiences through hands-on activities that promote learning, play, and exploration.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age.
• Reliable transportation to all DCL locations throughout Douglas County.
• Strong desire and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Basic skills in Microsoft 365 or other productivity, collaboration, and cloud-based services software. Ability to learn and apply new technologies.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Colorado Driver’s License
• Previous camp, educational, or day care experience
• A combination of experience and education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver a safe, high-quality camp experience aligned with DCL’s core values and brand standards.
• Treat all children and parents with respect and empathy, while effectively addressing behavioral, cultural, and health-related needs.
• Support daily camp operations through timely setup, cleanup, and activity execution.
• Model a positive, team-oriented attitude and maintain strong working relationships with campers, staff, and DCL colleagues.
• Provide feedback and frequent communication to camp instructor and supervisors.
• Coordinate day camp registration and sign-in process at each camp.
• Compose weekly camp summary and deliver on-time to supervisors.
• Develops proficiency in relevant industry and organizational technology.
• Engages in DCL’s performance feedback process and meets departmental expectations, policies and procedures.
