About The Position

This Seasonal Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for performing park maintenance-related functions and working on municipal and school properties. The person in this position carries out assignments and completes tasks within the organizational structure of the Recreation & Parks Department.

Responsibilities

• Mow and trim municipal and school grounds under the direction of the Recreation & Parks Foreman.
• Operate mowing, trimming, and air-blowing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual tasks, including cleaning equipment, weeding plant beds, painting, cutting brush, and other grounds maintenance-related functions as needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities, including trash pick-up; cleaning, deodorizing, and sanitizing park restrooms: basins, stools, urinals; graffiti removal; and all other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, sound judgment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with the public and/or other town employees.
• Perform duties, responsibilities, and activities that may change at any time with or without notice.
